Brian Nugent

President & CEO
Brian Nugent is a seasoned networking and security executive, with a proven record of driving pre-revenue companies to market leadership positions. Brian brings 15 years of technology industry experience spanning executive leadership posts in sales, marketing, business development and customer service across the security, communications and networking industries. Prior to Applied Identity, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Field Operations for Teros, the leader in Application Firewalls, which was acquired by Citrix (CTXS). Prior to that he was Senior Vice President of Sales, Support and Global Alliances at Atrica, the leader in 10G Ethernet networking for carriers. Atrica was acquired by NOKIA. Before Atrica, Mr. Nugent was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Marketing, Support & Business Development for LuxN, a leader in metro DWDM that penetrated over 50 service providers. LuxN was acquired by Sorrento Networks (SNTO). Mr. Nugent's experience also includes sales management positions at Cisco and 3Com. In addition to Applied Identity, Brian is on the Board of Directors for BRIGHTCLOUD, a provider of next-gen, in-the-cloud Security Services and is also on the Board of i*trezzo, the leader in Emergency Preparedness Software for handhelds. Brian is a member of the 'Alliance of CEOs'.

Greg Patti

VP of Finance & CFO
Greg Patti joined Applied Identity with over 25 years of successful IPO's, acquisitions, mergers, venture and debt financing under his belt. Before joining Applied Identity Greg was the Chief Financial Officer for Cemax-Icon (purchased by Imation). Greg's other professional titles include Corporate Controller for Supermac, Chief Financial Officer for Proxim, Inc., Vice President of Finance for Zentec and Certified Public Accountant for Price Waterhouse. Greg received his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Santa Clara.

Dean A. Weber

Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Weber brings with him more than 30 years of information security experience. Most recently, Weber was Chief Security Architect at Teros, the leading application security gateway manufacturer. Teros was acquired by Citrix. He also spent several years as Security Architect at TruSecure/ICSA Labs (now Verizon Business Security Solutions), a trusted provider of information security technology that helps safeguard customers with comprehensive intelligence and health programs as well as managed security services. Prior to TruSecure, Weber spent many years as co-founder and technical VP for a large security integration firm, specializing in secure architectural design and deployment for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. He is a frequent speaker at information security events such as InfoWorld, ITEC, InfoSec Europe, Infragard, Secret Service Security Roundtable, ISSA, and various focus engagements.

William K. Moore

VP of WW Sales & Marketing
Bill Moore joins Applied Identity as a 20+ year executive with an impressive background in software sales, services and marketing. Bill's experience in process, growth and M&A working in large organizations and start ups will assist Applied Identity as we move forward. Most recently, Bill served as VP, Sales and Customer Operations for Infovell assisting in the market launch and initial customer acquisition for Infovell's research engine. Prior to Infovell, Bill served as CEO of Tideline Capital, a financial services company providing support in the financing and leasing of hardware, software and services. Bill also served in a variety of executive management and sales management and sales positions at Teros, Primus Knowledge Solutions, Business Engine, Peregrine Systems, Siebel, Oracle, Interlink Computer Sciences and IBM. Bill is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in Economics and Political Science, an MBA in Management Information Systems and a JD in Corporate Law.

Rolf O'Grady

VP of Engineering & Technical Services
Rolf O'Grady has global responsibility for all customer facing engineering, which includes; pre-sales engineering, customer support and professional services. He brings with him more than 15 years of information technology, data networking and security experience. Most recently, O'Grady was the Director of Systems Engineering for Juniper Networks where he was responsible for all pre-sales engineering for the Western United States. He also served as a focal point for named accounts for both pre-sales support, and as an initial point of escalation for any post sales issues. Previously Rolf was at Netscreen, which was acquired by Juniper Networks. At Netscreen his organization focused on driving successful architectural & integration projects. Prior to Juniper Networks/NetScreen Technologies, O'Grady spent several years in the data networking and security integration business as a systems engineering manager for Anixter Networking.

James Yu

VP of Strategy and Channels
James Yu has over 20 years of experience successfully driving revenue and commercialization of new products in high tech industry related to systems, networking, storage, and security. Prior to joining Applied Identity, James was Senior VP Marketing & Business Development at NeoScale Systems. James was also VP Business Development at Maxxan Systems and in a variety of roles of increasing responsibilities at Hewlett-Packard, which included leading businesses with multi-hundred millions of revenue at the European level as well as at the worldwide level. He also held positions of Director of Strategic Investments and Director of Strategic Planning Europe. James received his Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley and MBA from San Jose State University.
